da realbet: Crystal Palace’s Premier League status often feels intertwined with the form of Wilfried Zaha. He’s unquestionably the biggest talent at Selhurst Park and the Eagles’ most potent attacking threat, which is exactly why Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham were all linked with the Ivory Coast international in the build-up to the January transfer window.

da jogodeouro: But to call Palace’s attack a one-man act would be grossly unfair. While Zaha’s undoubtedly made the biggest impact so far this season, he’s supported by a talented goalscorer in Christian Benteke – albeit, struggling to find the net on the most part this season – and more importantly another winger of similar speed and trickery in Andros Townsend.

And rather than Zaha, it was the latter who proved the biggest difference last night as Roy Hodgson’s side completed a 2-1 comeback away at Southampton to move themselves two points and four places clear of the relegation zone.

It was the 13-cap England international who found Luka Milivojevic on the edge of the box for the winner, the Serbian unleashing a delicious long-range strike in the 80th minute, but that only capped an impressive attacking display from Townsend, who finished up with the most chances created and crosses to his name of any player on the pitch – while ranking second for shots and successful dribbles.

Although Palace fans will be delighted with Zaha’s declaration that he’ll be staying for the second half of the season, the real positive is that the Eagles’ exciting and explosive wide-man double-act will remain in tact. More than any potential January signing, that’s the biggest boost to the south London club’s survival hopes.
