Stoke boss Tony Pulis has stated that he wants striker Ricardo Fuller to put pen-to-paper on a new deal at the Britannia Stadium.

The gifted forward is out of contract in the summer, but the Potter manager wants to keep the gifted attacker at the club for at least one more year.

“It will be determined, really, by Ricardo as much as anything else,” the Welshman told Mirror Football.

“Ricardo and his agent have to decide what they want to do, but Ric doesn’t have anything to prove to anybody at this club.

“He’s a top player and a fantastic lad. He can be a little bit off the wall at times, but that’s Ricardo.”

The Jamaican forward was sent off against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge earlier in the month for stamping on Braislav Ivanovic, but Pulis has maintained that all has been forgiven.

“He apologised straight away to everyone. He knew what he did was wrong and his reaction was poor. But it’s water under the bridge now,” the coach concluded.
