da bet7: Chelsea are sensationally ready to cut £33m man Michy Batshuayi from their squad just one-year after he arrived from Marseille, The Daily Mirror reports.
What’s the word?
da doce: After making a huge impression in French football with Marseille last season, Michy Batshuayi was one of the hottest young commodities in the European game and Chelsea ended up winning the race for his signature- paying £33m in the process.
That price-tag made the young Belgian the third-most expensive signing in the Blues history, behind strikers Andriy Shevchenko and Fernando Torres, and it seems Batshuayi will follow those two flops out of Stamford Bridge.
Batshuayi is yet to start in the Premier League this season, even when Diego Costa has been unavailable, and has not played at all since coming off the bench to play 12 minutes against Burnley back in February 12th.
Despite the long-term questions about Diego Costa’s future, The Mirror says Chelsea will cut their losses on Batshuayi this summer as Antonio Conte has his eyes set on other strikers.
Who could come in?
Regardless or not of whether Diego Costa snubs interest from China to remain with the Blues, Conte will look to bolster his attacking options next season and he is ready to include Tammy Abraham in his plans following the youngster’s impressive performances on-loan with Bristol City.
The Mirror also says Chelsea are keeping tabs on Torino’s prolific striker Andrea Belotti and also remain interested in Fernando Llorente- whilst they are also monitoring the situation of Alexis Sanchez across London at Arsenal.
